Newborn FAQs

Before your Newborn Photography Session

When should I book the newborn photography session for?

The best time to shoot is normally when the baby is between 4-14 days old. This gives the baby enough time to get used to feeding and settled in this new world whilst still being flexible and sleepy too!

What should I do to prepare for the shoot?

I haven’t got round to answering this question yet but I will in the next few days!

I have a due date but I don't know when I'll give birth. When should I book?

This is a question I get asked a lot. It’s important to book as soon as possible and the general rule of thumb is that we book the date for 10 days after your due date. I only shoot a maximum of 3 sessions a week to ensure I can move mothers and new babies around should the baby be early or late.

How do I book my newborn shoot?

The first thing to do is contact me to see if I am available during the time of your due date. Once my availability has been confirmed, I will send you a contract and payment details for your session fee. Once I have received both a signed contract and the session fee, your newborn photography session is confirmed.
